Find them at basement nights and warehouse one-offs reaching from New York to Montreal and overseas Berlin, a collect of conneisseuring clubbers. Void of tasteless vagabonds and cheap standards, looking to give credit where credit is due. The recent flood of clichéd counterfeits has made most music today better left unsaid, but it's the rumours stuck in our head that tug at our ego and give us the need to shine light. A compulsive urge to spread from one ear to the next, to draw a line between bottle service cogs and what is honestly the cutting edge of electronic music. There's no room for Vegas roller coasters or casual chit chat, just Night Rumours worth spreading.

Rob Clouth
Clockwork Atom
Leisure System; 2014-04-28
LSR011

Leisure System  as a label, traveling party, and residency at Berghain never fails to present renowned material that gets a number of people awaiting records and/or events. Within the label, they've now reached their eleventh release featuring the eccentrically talented, Rob Clouth. Clockwork Atom is a three track composition that touches up on scattered edges of musical styling and brings it all together to form two sides of moving, crystalized sounds. Title track on the A-side displays Clouth's range in creativity and playfulness. With soft piano keys to counter the thick sub kicks thrown at us, the separation and rebuilding of elements tone together floating rhythms. "Islands of Glass" presents a rougher demeanor with a steeled charm that counters the former, but it's "The Descent" that truly takes the cake. Going back to a warm awareness, we see Rob Clouth align his alias Vaetxh at his best here as glitchy works and perceptive noises roam the atmosphere easily.

Sven Weisemann
Falling Leaves
Fauxpas Musik; 2014-04-19
FAUXPASRSD014

Readied as an exclusive Record Store Day release, Sven Weisemann debuted under German label Fauxpas Musik with Falling Leaves. As you might expect from Weisemann and a record title like that, the bringings showcase Weisemann's more ambient and tranquil productions. As an aroma of acoustics and adrift vocals grace the track, the jazzed-ambient magnetism brought to life by Weisemann's audio architectures acquire space beautifully and wholeheartedly. On the flip,  Italian ambient-maestro himself – Gigi Masin – graces the scene with his rendition of the single. At its center, Masin's remix asserts itself more with a thrusting core that rattles deep. Captivating a framework unique to him, Weisemann's aural allures become enhanced with Masin's fine touch.

Ossie
She Knows (That Love Hurts)
Wolf Music Recordings; 2014-04-21
WOLFEP025

If there is one producer we can count on luring us to the dance floor, Londoner Ossie takes us there. With no exception, She Knows (That Love Hurts) shakes toxic rhythms that'll strike your dancing gland with no dismay. His first record for WOLF Music, the half-unexpected collaboration between producer and label works out properly as Ossie implements his lessons in classic house on here. After a long haul paired up as part of Black Orange Juice, fans get  another delectable solo EP from the man himself. With a 'Heavenly' and 'Dub' rendition of "Heartbeating", this two-way 90's reminiscent track is a funky time-capsule ready for a spin. It's the track title, however, that really takes things back. Steady house vibes with essential throwback vocal harmonies, "She Knows" (That Love Hurts) is that classic heartbreak story that has us dancing our sorrows under a bittersweet daze.

Factory Floor
How You Say (EP 1)
DFA; 2014-04-15
DFA2432

A uniquely put together trio of producers who have their roots dipped in post-punk. That's what we can start off saying about the collective known as Factory Floor. Forming back in 2005, the three have experimented and reinvented their sound from noise-punk to a robot-infused breed of nu-disco. Replacing acoustics with synthesizers, the three found a proper home at DFA where they recently released the first of a two slice remix EP that reworks track "How You Say" off their self titled debut. Remarkable recruitment of remixers Gunnar Haslam, Invisible Conga People, and Daniel Avery is enough enticement to get us listening. Diversified by each respective artist's tastes, this EP takes us from fidgety industrial grooves to deep and aerial bass tones that feel like massages to our ear drums.

Tadeo
A Container of Contradictions
M Rec Ltd Grey Series; 2014-04-19
MRECLTDGS08

Unafraid of delving into the depths of experimental processes, Spanish producer Tadeo has put together a cerebral and expository EP fitting perfectly with the M Rec Ltd Grey Series. A Container of Contradictions utilizes itself as a broad platform for an "anything goes" doctrine of electronic music. Opener "Reasons" eases us into the experience with soundscapes of ambient forces. "Uncertainty" slides in with forceful subs that compliment the demented chords ringing like a fuming train. On the flip, Tadeo takes us midway into our corpus callosum. " A Step To The Future" and "Latence State" make up one of the stronger b-sides I've heard all year. Both heady tracks with a hypnotizing character grace the rest of the record sure to have the chiming sounds ringing even after we're done giving it a listen.
