Mikah Freeman and Vance Musgrove, the duo better know as The Aston Shuffle, have become poster boys for the Australian dance movement. Over the last 12 months we've seen a number of their singles – "Can't Stop Now", "Comfortable", and "Tear It Down" – receive heavy remix attention. So it turns out, these tracks come from the pair's second album, Photographs, a heavily-collaborated work that they composed far and wide across the world. Dropping March 28th, the sophomore release follows their debut LP, Seventeen Past Midnight, which Rolling Stone ranked as one of the top 50 albums of 2011.
Here today we have the premiere of "No Place Like Home", a downtempo dance track that slides towards the electro pop end of the spectrum. Through 80s-inspired drum snippets, broad, metallic synths, and Kaelyn Behr's vocals, the dreamy escape turns out to be the perfect post-club track recalling a certain sense of nostalgia. Preorder Photographs now, which also includes the talents of Mayer Hawthorne, Joel Compass, and Alice from Youngblood Hawke, and you'll snag this track plus three others pre-release.
