2013 is a big year for many, Black Thought included. In this interview with Uber Urban, The Roots' lead MC confirms his solo album, The Talented Mr. Trotter is in the making, as are a wide range of other non-music related pursuits including penning his autobiography, doing more acting and even diving into the retail world by way of clothing, eyewear and shoe design (look out for his collaboration with Creative Recreation). He also mentions working with Jim James of My Morning Jacket and Raheem Devaughn, the latter of whom is helping him to write the lyrics for Mr. Trotter, a blues and jazz album. Given his massive talent, we're looking forward to seeing more of Black Thought's fingerprints in other creative outlets.
