Kwabena Adjepong, or Kwabs, is not the first person to sing the way he does, yet his soul-stirring vocals remain invariably impressive. Perhaps it's because we rarely hear vocalists who make us think of a young Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles, even Donny Hathaway. The list of artists who bring about those types of comparisons is rather short these days. Still, every so often, we stumble across an artist whose innate musical talent leaves a deep enough impression to make us want to dig a little more.
Enter Kwabs, a rising dapper British artist of Ghanian descent who turned heads just last year. After participating on the BBC show, Goldie's Band, a reality TV show where music experts scout emerging artists and coach them extensively for several performances including one at the Buckingham Palace, he's attracted a growing number of fans and has been lining up a nice list of live performances for himself this summer.

Then, more recently, there was the chillish James Blake cover he and his band "cobbled together" of "The Wilhelm Scream." And now we are past the point of convincing that Kwabs future is bright and tabs will need to be kept on this guy.
