Building on his own musical legacy of 17 years, global icon Jay Park is shaping the next generation of talent with the launch of LNGSHOT, a multi-faceted four-member Korean hip-hop/R&B-rooted group who are primed to carve out their own space in global music.
Consisting of OHYUL, RYUL, WOOJIN, and LOUIS, the band is the first boy group from Jay Park's company MORE VISION. With each member handpicked for their talent, instinct, and creative clarity, this is an act built to make a lasting impression on music lovers. Blending hip-hop, R&B, and pop influences into a signature style that feels distinct and dynamic, LNGSHOT are already making waves with their presence.
Growing steadily and carving out a lane for themselves, this quartet is led by a fierce spirit and dedication to succeed. With talents spanning writing, producing, and performing, LNGSHOT draw us into their world led by authenticity. Speaking to Earmilk, the band dive into their sound, being inspired by Jay Park and their future goals.

  1. What does LNGSHOT represent to each of you? What is your creative vision as you debut?

WOOJIN: To us, the name LNGSHOT represents an underdog mentality. The name was given to us by our CEO, Jay Park, who always taught us to stay humble and hungry. Carrying this name is a constant reminder to keep that underdog mindset and stay humble, regardless of how successful we may become.

OHYUL: Our creative vision for our debut is centered entirely on authenticity. We want to keep doing things our own way and establish our own signature sound. We all made music individually before coming together, so having an active role in writing and creating is very important to us.

  1. How would you describe the band’s sound? Each of you have your distinct sonic styles – how do they each find a space in the band’s overall style?

WOOJIN: Our music is a mix of different styles and tones. Because we all took different journeys to get here, our music blends various themes and influences from all genres of music.

OHYUL: We make space for each member's style because everyone has a lot of creative input, allowing our distinct sounds to come together into one cohesive product.

  1. Tell me a bit about “Moonwalkin” and your EP SHOT CALLERS. What was the process behind it?

RYUL: “SHOT CALLERS" is a project that we all worked on together as a team. The ideas we poured into the entire album are all bits and pieces of ourselves that came together to create one project. We wanted it to represent LNGSHOT, authenticity.

WOOJIN: We all had creative input and control of the EP, which shows in its sound. And Moonwalkin’ is our title track of the EP. Recording was really fun and our CEO, Jay Park, helped direct our vocals while still giving us creative freedom.

  1. The group is shaped by Jay Park- how has his influence helped in building and shaping LNGSHOT as a band?

OHYUL: We were all personally selected by Jay Park to join MORE VISION. To us, he's way more than a CEO.

LOUIS: he's an artist we respect and a big brother who mentors us beyond just music.

RYUL: Because he has impacted us so much, getting everyone on the same wavelength with a shared vision was natural from day one. His biggest advice he tells us is to always stay humble and true to who we are.

  1. Who inspires you both professionally and on a personal level?

OHYUL: Jay Park is a huge inspiration to us—he's the GOAT. Like we said, he is more than just our CEO. Seeing how consistent he’s been grinding since he started his career, we can’t help but be inspired.

  1. What are your future goals in terms of where you’d like to take your artistry?

RYUL: Our ultimate dream is to keep dropping new music, develop as musicians, and performing for our fans.

WOOJIN: We want our listeners to think, "Ah, this is a LNGSHOT song that the second a beat drops.

  1. In three words, describe LNGSHOT and what people can expect tuning into your music.

OHYUL: The three words that define us best are humble, hungry, and authentic. When you press play on our tracks, you can expect a wide spectrum of vibes and styles—meaning there really is a track for everyone to vibe with.

WOOJIN: Everything you hear comes directly from our real, genuine life experiences and emotions.

LOUIS: We truly hope that through our music, listeners can connect with us personally.
