Sydney-based producer and DJ Caleb Jackson has launched his new imprint Party Favours with debut single "Foreva." The release marks a milestone moment for the rising Australian artist, bringing his beloved SoundCloud edits to streaming services for the first time while establishing the label as a space for peak curation and certified groovers.
"Foreva" features resung parts of the classic Faith Evans track "Love Like This," transformed into a house anthem designed for those intimate dancefloor moments. "'Foreva' is my tribute to those especially euphoric dancefloor moments that you get lost in," shares Caleb Jackson. "Living in the present soaking it all up but a part of you wishing it could last forever. I wrote it specifically for Lost Paradise festival as I knew I was playing sunset and wanted to strike a certain chord with the crowd. Needless to say I dropped it exactly after the sun went down and it hit perfectly."
The Party Favours ethos reflects a double-edged turn of phrase that nods to the underlying sense of fun and taboo within dance culture. At its core, the label aims to keep the music serious and the dancefloor fun and unserious. The release follows a strong run for Caleb Jackson, including direct support for Michael Bibi in Sydney and his sunset set at Lost Paradise on New Year's Eve, where the venue reached capacity and had to shut down entry. Last year, he was invited to the iconic HÖR BERLIN bathroom for a set, a strong co-sign from the independent Berlin space and community.
With performances at venues like Fabric and KOKO in London, Thuishaven and Shelter in Amsterdam, plus festival appearances at Garbicz Festival and Burning Man, Caleb Jackson holds a residency at Sydney's Lost Sundays while building momentum toward international breakthrough.
