Just days before the release of their third full-length album, Surfbort blessed their loyal audience with a preview of what's to come.
"Hot Dog" blends gritty garage-rock with egg punk irony.
Leaning into a more electronic production, lead singer Dani Miller speaks casually over a driving beat accented by steaming-hot guitar, delivering the poignant lyricism that can only follow a song that starts with "I was doin' the worm, all over town."
The video, directed by Pooneh Ghana, opens with Dani walking a hot dog on a chain down the residential streets of LA, and the aesthetic absurdity only escalates from there. It also features appearances from Jesse Rutherford, Zumi, and many other familiar faces.
