Indie singer and producer No Love For The Middle Child releases brand new music that may redefine his career. "Ash On The Floor" is out this Friday via Cantora Records, ushering in No Love's next chapter. Stay very much in line with his recent releases like "Broken Wings," No Love continues to push the boundary of his songwriting ability and epically cinematic style.
"Ash On The Floor" is bold and one of No Love's most daring yet. Sonically, the sound is dark at times, but it manages to isolate the tone of the track in a poetically beautiful way. No Love uses the single to find a sense of clarity and balance, meaningfully. High energy and electronic hums send shockwaves through the ears.
“I’ve been obsessing over production lately, especially within the confines of my own music,” No Love shares.
“I’m most comfortable writing lyrics alone in my room with an acoustic guitar — that’s where my favorite stuff comes from. But I mainly listen to energetic music and always want that energy when I think about the live show. It’s been a fun experiment writing acoustic songs and treating them like samples — remixing them, speeding them up, completely rebuilding them. If the bones of the song are good, the production can be anything. That’s what I found when making this track.”
Known for his skill of blending genres with an indie pop focus, No Love continues to carve out his own lane in the music industry. The moody single arrives with a cinematic music video that further expands the universe of No Love. The single continues No Love's rollout for his upcoming album, set to be released sometime this year.
