Legendary Los Angeles singer/bassist extraordinaire Thundercat (Stephen Lee Bruner) is back with another track that's satisfying enough to eat, regurgitate, and then eat again.
Stacked with interesting melodies and unexpected samples, "I Did This To Myself" has the kind of rhythm that syncopates into your bone marrow before the first measure is over.
Gliding seamlessly into the rhythm at around halfway through the song is a feature from fellow beloved industry legend Lil Yachty, who accents the buttery harmonies of Thundercat's vocals with his low, rhythmic patter.
This single also serves as an exciting announcement: Distracted, Thundercat's first full-length release in six years!
Aside from Lil Yachty, the tracklist is studded with an array of collaborators, such as Tame Impala, WILLOW, and a previously recorded track with the dearly missed Mac Miller.
The album is set to be released on April 3, available for streaming on all platforms.
