We're gassed to have the return of Arky Waters on Earmilk this week.. Where some jungle revival tracks lean too heavily on nostalgia, “UGETME?” feels alive and forward-facing. Fractured breaks tear through the mix with manic urgency, while weighty basslines lock everything into a tight, propulsive groove. The track constantly threatens to spiral out of control, yet remains expertly restrained — a balance that keeps the energy peaking without collapsing into chaos. It’s this tension that gives the song its edge.
“I wanted to make a hard jungle track for live use, at the time I made this I couldn’t find much jungle that bridgedthe line between hard dnb and something more traditional. Ilove the chaos and old school vibes of jungle breaksbut sometimes when you play it out with a bunch of dnb it kind of dips the energy a little, so the goal here was tomake something really high energy and intense. I wanted it to feel like straight adrenaline. The more and more Idelve into electronic music I’m starting to dabble in thinking of songs as tools to tell a story within a dj set." – Arky Waters
There’s a cinematic quality to the way the track unfolds. Rather than relying on obvious drops or predictable builds, Arky Waters lets momentum do the heavy lifting, creating a sense of movement that feels relentless and physical. It’s easy to imagine the track cutting through a DJ set at full volume, lifting the room without sacrificing intensity. Subtle nods to modern club music sit comfortably alongside rougher, old-school textures, giving the track both polish and grit.
“UGETME?” ultimately feels less like a standalone single and more like a statement of intent. It shows an artist increasingly focused on function, atmosphere, and storytelling within the club context.
