Korean Hip-Hop and R&B artist Bryan Chase joins forces Sik-K and Camo on bold single “Flaunt It," marking a new chapter for his musical journey. His second release since signing with Universal Music Korea, the track unveils a high-energy hip-hop style that blends global influences with Chase’s smooth style.
Rooted in his ability to push sonic boundaries, the track produced by Nick Spiders is further elevated by the powerhouse touches of Sik-K and CAMO as Chase establishes his dominance framed by his expanding sonic range and evolving artistry as he leads us into latest EP GRANTED.
In conversation with Earmilk, Bryan Chase reflects on his creative process, his sonic evolution and the most surreal moment of his career so far.
- What was the creative process behind GRANTED?
It was a lot of fun, I was going through a lot of changes and the EP really holds a lot of that emotion. Working with NICK SPIDERS was an experience, his sound and creativity is on a whole new level. The whole EP hold a meaningful place for me
2. How did the collaboration with Sik-K and Camo on “Flaunt It” come about? What did they bring to the track to elevate it?
The feature came together around the time I had just worked on LOV3 with SIK-K and HWIMMIN (from Groovyroom) so it felt natural to reach out back to him for the verse and CAMO, I always heard her music and admired her talent. They added their own vibe and color that really brought a whole new vibrant tone for the song.
- How would you say your sound has evolved over time and where do you see it going from here?
I never really know where it’s headed. It really depends on what I’m experiencing and what’s inspiring me at the moment. I just want to keep exploring and growing.
- Of the tracks on the EP, which would you say is your personal favourite and why?
My favorite definitely would be “For Granted.” I had the opportunity to work on it with my brother TARZZAN, and finally got to release it. The electric minimal style beat from NICK SPIDERS carries such a raw and emotional tone for the entire track. It was a special moment for all of us.
- If you could experiment with any genre or concept in the future what would it be and why?
I want to keep collaborating more with different artists, producers, and creatives. Every moment in the process has something special, and working with new people helps me explore myself in new ways. I’m open to trying new vibes and concepts to help grow in my music space.
- What's the most rewarding part of the music making process for you? And whats the most challenging part?
The process. It’s both the most challenging and rewarding. This was my first project working with my new label, the UNIVERSAL MUSIC A&L, and the team felt new and exciting. The moments in the studio with NICK SPIDERS, TARZZAN, and JUNIORCHEF were some of my favorite parts. Creating together and seeing ideas come to life and visual directing with JULI YL, who directed my latest single “Show Must Go On feat. pH-1”, working on everything on a tight schedule, forced more creativity and challenges, and seeing it all come together was rewarding.
- Personally what's been the most surreal moment of your music journey so far?
The most surreal moment has been realizing how far I’ve come and getting to work with new artists and producers, and new friends. There are always small moments that remind me how grateful I am to be on this path.
- If you could describe your artistry in 3 words what would they be and why?
Pure, True, and Captive. Because these are some words I try to live by and capture.
