Street Fruit reveal trippy new single “Hey Operator” [Video]

Street Fruit keep things moving with “Hey Operator,” a standout cut from their 2025 album, Strange Tanks.

It is a tight, trippy slice of psych-rock that shows the band having fun while staying firmly in control of their sound. If the record is about building a strange, self-contained world, this track is one of its most inviting entry points.

The song runs on a sly groove, with guitars that wobble, jab, and blur together in all the right ways. Nothing sits still for long.

The rhythm section drives the track forward with tight, confident playing, while the analog tape recording gives the sound extra warmth and weight without dulling its bite. It feels focused, punchy, and alive.

The video leans hard into psychedelic garage vibes, complete with purple haze visuals and retro flair. It matches the song’s energy perfectly and underlines Street Fruit’s refusal to take themselves too seriously.

It is fun, strange, confident, and a strong reminder that they are carving out a lane entirely their own.
