Nick Vivid returns mightily stronger than ever with "Volatile," a new album which is now available on MegaPlatinum Records. Vivid, as an artist, takes a bold step in understanding emotion, memory, creation, and the development of creativity, as the album cements his status as a motivating artist, experimenting, reflecting, and revealing without fear of judgment.
Crafted in 12 tracks that last 43 minutes 52 seconds, Volatile captures the human experience from weakness, instability, and imbalance to victory and everything in between. It takes Vivid on a voyage through New York City's past, an era of great energy, uncertain beginnings, and insatiable ambition. Each road is akin to a diary of memories, as he reflects and grows.
Among the standout tracks, "First Kiss" is a shiny reflection of dreamy wonder, and "Now or Never" is a beam of radiant, momentary ambition. "Weight of the World" fills out the emotional range required to stay, reminders of strength are downplayed, and chaos. "Volatile" is not just a recording, but a lively soundscape.
Adding to the lasting effect are melodies such as "Too Toxic," a paced rhythm song that explores silencing critics within and finding peace in the middle of the storm. "Volunteer" features a milder side, titled the type song, that explores generosity and the emotional cost of giving too much of oneself. The title track, "V-O-L-A-T-I-L-E," is a poignant explosion of frustration and freedom, written in a single, unique session.
Each string of lyrics appears to be programmed, and Vivid's heart has extracted the silk and creative aspects, with the perspective of the sound coming to life. Made from a blend of continuous live and electronic-heavy alt-pop, indie rock, and alt-R&B vibes, this record was produced and is still being produced. It is a mental hint of something beautiful that one must recollect in all the terrible mess life throws at us.
