East London quartet Forever Forever explores the highs and lows of navigating your 20s on debut EP Good Light In, a six-track collection balancing vulnerability and vibrance.
From layers of shimmering synths, warm acoustic guitars and whispered vocals on the title track, the stripped emotive style of tracks like “Difficult Feelings,” and “Navigate,” to the melodic touches of “Statis,” the project is wistful yet vivid as it offers a rich soundscape for us to immerse ourselves in.
Intimate yet expansive, the introspective EP is rooted in their signature blend of indie, folk and alt-pop sensibilities, delivering a modern yet timeless musical experience interwoven with relatable explorations of trying to build a life amidst uncertainties.
Whether its about finding joy in difficult times, the overwhelming weight of decision paralysis or the catharsis of letting go of love and moving on, the EP sways seamlessly between uplifting and sharply honest as it captures lived experiences with tenderness and understanding.
Speaking of the EP, the band say, “The EP as a whole really reflects that turning point you go through where you want to change your life but you don’t know how. Writing and recording it was a really organic process through that point in our lives, and we’re really proud of how it’s turned out.”
The band who have sold out their first headline show at The Troubadour keep up their momentum going with their nuanced artistry.
