Las Vegas hard rock band Velvet Chains has just unleashed their latest single and music video "How The Story Ends". The band has prolifically been releasing music this year with their 2025 album release Last Rites and singles "Ghost in the Shell" and "Sins". To support the releases, Velvet Chains is playing live shows throughout November.
With "How The Story Ends", Velvet Chains creates a poignant and hard-hitting raw single all about searching and wrestling with a need to find purpose in a world that feels fractured and unstable. It’s a meditation on grief, transformation, and the quiet violence of picking up the pieces of your life. Honest lyrics including, "I know how the story ends / Down in the ground / Lost my crown / It breaks me," show this narrative. Musically, "How The Story Ends" is a ferocious collision of sound complete with hard-hitting drums, clashing guitar riffs and driving basslines. The vocal delivery is raw and unfiltered, fraught with the weight of someone who’s walked through hell and bothered to take notes on the way out. When he sings the chorus, it feels less like a hook and more like a survival mantra. "How The Story Ends" is a seismic emotional payload and a must listen to hard rock anthem.
The single is shared alongside a haunting music video showing a man restrained at a mental institution. Mood-drenched and cinematic, the video directed by Julo plays in the shadows. The visual is the perfect compliment to the gritty and dark single.
Velvet Chains is composed of Chaz Terra (lead vocals), Jason Hope (drums), Von Boldt (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Nils Goldschmidt (bass and backing vocals) and Philip Paulsen (lead guitar and backing vocals). Together the five-piece creates irresistible rock offerings and plays dynamic shows that have launched them as one of the best bands in their genre. Check out "How The Story Ends" now and get lost in the noise.
