Nate Vickers breaks the cycle in his electrifying new single “Deja Vu”

“Deja Vu,” finds Nate Vickers leading listeners through an emotional storm, where passion clashes with heartache and rock melds with introspection. This latest release is a confession of getting stuck in the cycle of our mistakes. With raw emotion and anthemic soundscapes, “Deja Vu” serves as a true testament to Nate’s tremendous development as a songwriter, performer and takes his artistry to even greater heights.

The single grabs you from the jump with its gravitational force. Nate’s vocals are forceful but fragile, the voice of someone carrying experience but seeking freedom. His lyrical delivery is razor sharp, untangling that sensation of déjà vu that we feel when life begins to reverberate with old patterns we were sure at some point that we wouldn’t allow ourselves to repeat. “Deja Vu” is one of awakening, resilience and the human struggle to unshackle ourselves once and for all from our past.

The production aptly reflects this emotional tug-of-war. Bringing power guitar rubber, huge choruses and an in-out-in-out rhythm that runs right through the heart of things, it harnesses all of that epic vibe that modern alt-rock can deliver whilst hanging on to that slightly ragged edge. Nate is the dominating force that leads the creative charge of every minute infused with sincerity and fire. What’s special about “Deja Vu” is how personal and yet universal it feels. The song is about trying to better yourself.
