Paul Frazer Clarke has again made an authentically soulful statement with his latest release, ‘You’re My Breath.’ Having spent over 35 years defining the sound of global music, from genre-defining Drum & Bass innovation, to exclusive sync placements across Oprah Winfrey, National Geographic, BBC and most recently Home & Away -Clarke is well versed in composing music that knows no limits.

“You’re My Breath” follows suit, bearing smooth R&B influence that melds Clarke’s timeless songwriting with smooth, current production. It’s the sort of song that feels as personal as it does universal, a love letter set to music, cloaked in warmth and emotion. The way the track is arranged gives room for the vocals to flourish riding on smooth grooves and space that coerces you into its orb.

What makes this even more interesting, is the talent around it. Clarke has teamed up with some of the best in the business. Grammy Award winning pedal steel guitarist, Lucky Oceans, Sharin Attamimi an Australian Idol finalist and Naim Cortazzi from Fun Lovin’ Criminals. As individuals, their talents are abundant and endless, as a unit, their art pours and seethes with depth and richness that “You’re My Breath” is an experience.

The song is a distillation of some of Clarke’s favorite moments that shake life up, feelings that bind us together, music as a vessel through which we tell our stories. It feels at home in today’s R&B landscape while acknowledging the traditions that have informed Clarke throughout his career. He already had begun his career signing with Epic Records, Edel Records Munich, Warner Chappell and MCA Music in a testament to his versatility and creativity. But with “You’re My Breath,” he returning to something elemental, and his music ability to bring love, memory and connection alive.
