Social Media Star Nezza brings the flavor with new single “Tasty”

Vanessa Hernandez, artistically known as Nezza, releases “Tasty” to the start of the Fall season, after releasing “Classy” in the summer. But she did much more this summer, as she went viral on social media for singing the U.S. National Anthem in Spanish at a Los Angeles Dodgers game, despite the team’s instructions not to sing the National Anthem in any language other than English.

The 30-year-old stands up for her Hispanic culture as a descendant of Dominican and Colombian parents and has been open about representing her culture since the beginning, as a dancer and a YouTube star, posting videos since 2009. With nearly 400,00 subscribers, she is multitalented and since 2018 has released several songs in both English and Spanish and an EP named “Club Solita.”

Known for her Spanglish pop music, Nezza brings the sweetness with “Tasty” by singing, “Cherry gloss dripping off, know you like that. Bite back, break me off like a Kit Kat. Got you thinking like ‘who’s that?’ Tengo todo lo que te gusta.”

Clearly speaking to a man, she continues her seductive behavior with, “So delicious, you need it. Make you hot, make you steamy. Sugar rush, you like the feeling. ‘Cause you know its getting tasty. "Nunca había probado algo tan amazing.”

With one taste of her, the man will be obsessed, with lyrics, “Con un shot de mi ya te pones crazy.”

One thing is for sure, the fans are obsessed with not only her music but her character after her brave actions at the Dodgers game. Since then, Nezza has been on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, received a certificate of recognition by the City of Los Angeles from councilwoman Monica Rodriguez, and performed the U.S. National Anthem again on Sept 7. at the Oakland Oracle Arena for an Oakland Roots Sports Club soccer game.

Her new song brings the feeling of early 2000s pop and R&B together. As Hispanic Heritage Month continues and the fall weather begins, put on a leather jacket, put on your headphones, chew some bubblegum, and groove to “Tasty.”

Keep up with Nezza’s tasty Spanglish music:
