Bronx born Puerto Rican and Jamaican artist Amanda Brown has just unleashed her riveting new single "Innocence". The single follows her track "Go Easy, Kid" shared in July.

Amanda’s “Innocence,” co-written with Dan Sadin, is a deeply reflective exploration of childhood, faith, and the complexities of growing up within a religious framework. Drawing on memories from her Christian upbringing, Amanda navigates the tension between the wonder of youth and the weight of being introduced to concepts like heaven, hell, and eternal judgment. She sings "Where is my innocence / Raise your hands / you believe but you can't see," showing this narrative. The song is not a nostalgic look back at religion’s positives; instead, it confronts the mix of fear, trauma, peer pressure, and indoctrination that often accompanies devotion. With candid lyricism and heartfelt delivery, Amanda examines what it truly means to be a child born into faith, grappling with questions that once felt forbidden.

Musically, "Innocence" features emotion-filled vocals and a soaring chorus full of fervor. Her vocals are urgent, enthralling and soulful, showing why Amanda Brown is one of the most respected singers of our generation. A mood-laced guitar riff and colliding instrumentation that builds as the song concludes, ends the song dynamically.

Amanda Brown has toured as a backing singer for platinum-selling artists including Adele, The Killers, Alicia Keys and more. She also is known for her stint on The Voice, where she captivated audiences around the world. With her solo project, the singer/songwriter is quickly building a dedicated fanbase. Take a listen to "Innocence" now and add this gem to your favorite playlist.
