Singer-songwriter Lucian Moriyama releases his debut single, "How do you pay the rent in Heaven?" this Friday. The alt-country, folk-style single is full of what many may come to expect from the multi-talented artist. The New York-based artist takes his artistic skills to new heights in a way that makes space for a musical career.

"How do you pay the rent in Heaven?" is Moriyama's first official debut single as he begins to tap into a new creative lane aside from his previous works. The single is a bold take on the mundane outlook of life while trying to achieve everything in the moment between. Most of Moriyama's tunes tend to linger within the framework of a troubled, lonely poet. Themes of loneliness, ethereal, and folk tend to push the envelope.

Lucian Moriyama's new single is a wonderful display of crafted musical tones.  The single leans heavily on the tones of heartbreak, but with a new modern twist. Moriyama balances the thrill of well-crafted lyrics with a dark undertone. "How do you pay the rent in Heaven?" is the first of many, as his debut marks a fresh change for the artist.
