D'NME delivers a trap-rap triumph with “On The Way”

D'NME is back with yet another powerful cut and this one’s titled “On The Way,” featuring Keenan TreVon, a record that combines ambition, artistry, replay value. The project rides a smooth line between chaotic trap electricity, the sound D’NME’s razor-sharp weapon was destined for. And the melodic hook from Keenan Trevon takes it to another level all together, ensuring that it’s a rare success in today's ultra-competitive hip-hop world.

D’NME takes control from the get go with opening bar. His bars are bold, bare-knuckled and hunger-driven, featuring sharp lyricism that not-so-subtly flexes his achievements while reminding listeners that he’s still on the grind. The track is a strut of what he’s made but hungrier for whatever comes next. And on balance, it’s that confidence and drive toward the future that makes “On The Way” a statement of intent.

Keenan Trevon’s hook is the heartbeat of the song, slick and impactful, slithering through high-energy production, with a melody that sticks like sweat long after the beat has dried. Delivering smooth vocals that perfectly complement D'NME's grit, the track has the addictive replay factor any playlist entry needs.

What sets “On The Way” apart is its effortless combination of raw lyricism and modern trap elements. Jon Bonus’s accompanying production reflects the contradictory nature of D'NME's delivery, icy but frenetic, cool but persistent. The result is a song that seems right at home both on late-night rides and high-energy playlists, in other words, a trap rap banger with substance.
