Glassio teams up with Loren Berí for the melancholy disco embrace "Al Pacino" [Video]

London based singer/songwriter and producer Glassio has just unleashed his latest musical gem. Entitled "Al Pacino", the song features Loren Berí, a NYC artist who also co-wrote the single. The track is shared alongside a cinematic music video. "Al Pacino" is the second single of the year for Glassio following the release of "Heartstrings" in June.

With "Al Pacino", Glassio and Loren Berí team up for a movie-inspired moment turned into a poignant meditation on saying goodbye and coping with loss. Written on a late night Zoom call, the song gives an ode to the famous actor's role in Michael Mann’s Heat, but has little to do with the actor himself. The title is a metaphor for an idea and concept of the pain of saying goodbye to a friend as well as other trauma and grief that can arise when doing so. Lyrics including, "Al Pacino / Where did we go wrong? / I'll see you in another song," show this narrative. Sonically, "Al Pacino” begins with cinematic strings and upbeat keys. Mood-laced synthesizers, warm vocals and a falsetto anthemic chorus add to the track's allure. Glassio and Loren Berí have created a unique dream pop meets electronic single that has been coined "melancholy disco". The track is shared alongside a music video with the duo singing in the middle of a field mirroring the cinematic nature of the song.

"Al Pacino" isn’t just a song, it’s an experience, one that captures the bittersweet tension between memory and moving forward. With this release, Glassio further cements his reputation as an artist capable of turning personal reflection into universal resonance, proving that melancholy can be both beautiful and infectious on the dance floor.
