American singer-songwriter Miguel, releases new single to his CAOS album to be released on October 23. The 39-year-old R&B singer, with his signature sexy tunes, isn’t silent about his love for a certain someone with "New Martyrs (Ride 4 U)". His love is so strong he is willing to kill anyone or do anything it takes to be with his lover.
With a bass, guitar, and drum beat, Miguel sings, “If this shit don't go as planned, swear I won't leave you behind. If you tell me that you're with it, babe oh, are you with it, baby? Tell me that you're with it, babe ‘cause I'm with it, babе.” He is willing to do anything that the song sounds like they will commit any crime to be together or their love is a crime if they can’t be together.
This can be interpreted in the following lyrics, “I put two shots in the air, tell everybody to drop. They hit that silent alarm. Just keep your eyes on that clock. I’ll watch them while you get it, babe. Yeah, get it, babe. No matter what they call us, lawless or new martyrs.”
Miguel and his lover will ride for each other until the end, “And if I hear sirens outside, and I can see the lights flash, let me kiss you goodbye, you know I'm ready to blast. You said, ‘I’ll ride for you.’ ”
Ending with only the electric guitar, Miguel finishes the song with “The love can't be silent when the system isn't equal.”
