Brighton rockers Faeser announce debut EP In The Box of Heaven Pictures with high octane new single “Revelations,” which taps into their signature punk energy and a chaotic, live aesthetic.
Blending expressive punk and melodic alt-rock, the track sways seamlessly between high-energy moments and ethereal calm, carried by punchy drums, distorted guitars, thick basslines and emotive vocals.
Framed by both urgency and vulnerability, the track soars with an intense guitar flourish to showcase a nuanced and diverse musicality. Encapsulating the unpredictable touch of Faeser’s craft, the track is gentle and propulsive all at once.
Speaking of the track, the band says, “Revelations is our biggest statement as a band yet and one of our favourite tracks to play. The recording has such a chaotic, live feel to it, which was important to us as we are, first and foremost, a live band.It serves as a sort of introduction to this world of ‘grunge sleaze’ that we have created; it is as reflective as it is pornographic, and as faithful as it is tempting.”
A lighter note of pure fun and chaos nestled in the melancholia at the centre of their upcoming EP, the visceral track which explores the conflict between shame and desire, repression and liberation is a step into a wider story diving into themes of loss.
Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Jessica James, with lead guitarist Willow Simpson, rhythm guitarist Emia Demir, bassist Matthew Sherren and drummer Nathan Hayward, Faeser who have built a reputation as an act to watch with blend of theatrics and electrifying soundscapes continue to make their presence known.
