With the return of BLACKPINK and the debut of KATSEYE, it seems that girl groups will always be here to steal the spotlight in music, and GIRLSET will add to the shine. The girl group, originally made of six known as VCHA, returns with a rebrand as GIRLSET. The American girl group debuts their first single as a quartet with “Commas,” a hot, red, summer girl boss song for all the independent women.
The four members, Camila Valdes, Lexus Vang, Kendall Ebeling, and Savanna Collins, showcase their powerful harmonies by singing ‘You've been waiting patiently for me to run into your arms, but I need more, more. I don't need your permission, you get it? I do what I want, little miss independent. Sittin' pretty, you just can't forget it.’ The song brings a similar feeling from the ‘90s group Destiny’s Child with “Independent Women Pt. 1” with a modern twist.
With more drum machine beats, the girls know their worth and tell men they are not easy women to flirt with because they know what they deserve. ‘Don't need your diamonds, don't need your pearls ’cause I'm that girl that's always gonna put me first. Every time I, I let you know who runs this show, she's right in front of you.’
All they need is more and more money. ‘You keep lookin' at me, lookin' at me, keep lookin' at me like you wanna. Spend some money on me, money on me, some money on me. I'm like commas.’
The girls have entered a new era and are here to remind everyone they run the show.
The song will have all the independent women put on some red lipstick, a red suit, and sit pretty while patiently waiting for more music from GIRLSET.
Keep up with the girl's new chapter:
