London-based indie quartet False Futures weave an exploration of  youth, ambition, and the timeless search for belonging on “Under The Same Sun,” a compelling yet unassuming showcase of their understated yet refined musicality.

Self-produced and with a DIY spirit at its core, the track lets with a stripped-back styles that feels intimate and sprawling all at once.  A lo-fi yet crisp anthem, the track’s narrative sways between conformity and self-expression. Sparking to life eight years ago as an instrumental demo, the track has transformed into quiet yet sharp introspections that feel quintessentially English yet universally resonant.

Speaking of the track, Mathew Conner says, "This track is a pat on the back to my younger self; a reminder to do as you please with your time on earth. The good, the bad, the alright, everything that has ever happened has done so, under the same sun, and that's all the guarantee you're getting.”

Nostalgic yet unsentimental, the track delivers a broad statement bout institutional conformity and the importance of holding onto your dreams, the track still offers up relatable motivation based on personal experience.

The track is accompanied by picturesque visuals, filmed at the atmospheric Dungeness location perfectly captures the song's themes of youth and belonging. On the visuals, Conner reflects, "Dungeness is a funny place with a funny atmosphere, really inspiring though and picturesque and we felt we had to make something there.”

Having carved out a space with electrifying live performances and reflective, authentic artistry, False Futures is on the rise, transitioning seamlessly from underground darlings to a force to be reckoned with in the indie scene.
