Where angst-dripping love stories and politics go to play hacky sack together, karōshi is dancing in the middle of the game. That is to say–if punk is dead, they clearly missed the memo.
Their newest single "hide + seek" is loud, electric, and totally nostalgic. It sounds like a sandwich made of all the grunge and punk that the PNW has thrived on for decades; a love letter to the past and to the future of a scene that has raised generations of misfits and radicals. This song only further solidifies the band as a vertebrae in the back-bone of Seattle's ever-changing punk scene.
The single paves the way for their second full-length album, to be released in September. If you're a fan of gritty vocals, thick instrumentals, and all all together killer production, it's definitely something to look out for.
