4 acts you can’t miss at Splash House Weekend 2 in Palm Springs

Palm Springs is preparing itself for another weekend of dancing in the sun as Splash House returns for Weekend 2.

The festival delivers three days of poolside euphoria across its iconic trio of boutique hotels.

Weekend Two features performances by Boys Noize, BUNT., Claude VonStroke, Neil Frances, Noizu, SOFI TUKKER, and Max Styler, with After Hours programming featuring Disclosure and Cloonee at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

Now in its 12th year, Splash House has perfected the art of merging sun-soaked luxury with cutting-edge electronic music.

As the desert heat intensifies this weekend, here are four essential performances that showcase why Weekend 2 represents the pinnacle of California's electronic music festival scene.

Sofi Tukker

The German-American duo Sofi Tukker leads Weekend 2's lineup, bringing their infectious blend of deep house, tropical bass, and Brazilian-inspired rhythms to the Palm Springs desert. Their set promises to be equal parts dance floor destroyer and poolside perfection.

Tracks like "Purple Hat" and "Best Friend" have become festival anthems because they capture the carefree spirit of Splash House.

In the poolside setting, surrounded by inflatable flamingos and palm trees, their performance will deliver serious musical substance. Expect vocals, live percussion, and that signature SOFI TUKKER magic that turns every gathering into a celebration.

Disclosure (DJ Set)

Disclosure headlines the After Hours programming with a DJ set at the Palm Springs Air Museum, where vintage aircraft hangars transform into open-air raves under the desert stars.

The Lawrence brothers have spent over a decade defining what UK garage and house music sound like in the modern era, and their DJ sets offer something entirely different from their polished live productions.

When the sun sets on Friday night and the party moves from poolside to the tarmac, Disclosure's DJ set will be a masterclass in selection and flow.

Expect deep cuts from their extensive catalog, unreleased VIPs, and carefully chosen tracks that showcase their taste beyond their own hits. The Air Museum setting creates an otherworldly atmosphere, surrounded by warplanes and under infinite desert skies, that perfectly complements their introspective yet driving sound. This is where Weekend 2 transforms from party to transcendent experience.

Claude VonStroke

Claude VonStroke brings his legendary Dirtybird sound to Weekend 2, marking a notable return to his authentic tech-house roots that has sparked considerable recent buzz in the electronic music community. The San Francisco-based producer and label head represents house music in its most playful yet sophisticated form.

VonStroke's Splash House appearance is particularly exciting because of his recent creative evolution and his ability to read a poolside crowd. His sets seamlessly blend humor with serious musical curation.

Expect everything from quirky vocal samples to driving basslines that keep bodies moving in the desert heat. As the founder of Dirtybird Records, he's had a hand in shaping careers of artists like Catz 'N Dogz and Walker & Royce. In the luxurious Splash House setting, his performance will showcase why he remains one of electronic music's most beloved figures.

Boys Noize

Boys Noize brings his versatile and genre-defying sound to Weekend 2, representing the festival's commitment to booking artists who push electronic music's boundaries. The German producer has spent nearly two decades blending electro, techno, and breaks into something uniquely his own.

Boys Noize takes a fearless approach to genre-blending while maintaining underground credibility and appealing to festival crowds. His live sets are kinetic experiences that shift between pounding techno and melodic interludes, often within the same track.

Beside the poolside environment, his performance will be sure to provide the weekend's most intense moments.

His recent collaborations and solo work have shown an artist unafraid to evolve, making this performance essential for understanding where electronic music is headed next.

The pool parties run Saturday and Sunday from noon to sundown, with after-hours parties Friday and Saturday. Beyond the headline acts, Weekend 2's undercard features rising talents like nimino, GENESI, and Jackie Hollander.

The festival has recently begun hosting "field trips" to local businesses for activities from drag brunches to DJ classes, creating a full cultural immersion beyond the music.

Splash House Weekend 2 blends luxury hospitality, a carefully curated music lineup, and the unbeatable backdrop of Palm Springs. These four acts alone justify the desert pilgrimage, yet they’re only the beginning of a weekend where the poolside becomes the dance floor and every sunset ushers in new musical discoveries.

Splash House Weekend 2 will run August 15-17 across Renaissance, Saguaro, and Riviera hotels in Palm Springs.
