Samantha Poulter, better known as Logic1000, is an Australian electronic music producer and DJ living in Berlin.
Signed to Because Music, she released her critically acclaimed debut album 'Mother' in 2024, solidifying her place in the global club scene.
Her latest single, “toldmyself,” dropped on July 30th, and it’s everything you want in a summer hit. Released alongside the B-side “i couldn't hold back,” featuring a smooth guest vocal from George Riley, the two-track pack feels like a refreshing throwback to Logic1000’s earlier sound.
Both tracks lean into her signature minimalist club aesthetic: stripped-back yet infectious.
They call back to early garage summer remixes, sprinkled with the cheeky energy of Eliza Rose, and wrapped in Logic1000’s unmistakably bouncy house production.
The bass is simple and satisfying. The melodies flirt with house-y warmth, while the playful, chirpy vocal lines invoke the spirit of long, golden evenings and late-sunset dance floors.
As we soak up the last rays of the season, this is exactly what we want playing as the sun dips below the horizon. "toldmyself" is carefree, effortless, and endlessly replayable.
