Indie collective Tora Luna share debut EP Springtide Moonride, delivering a celebration of musical collaboration and human authenticity across five intriguing tracks. Featuring four different lead vocalists across its tracks, the project encapsulates creative freedom  and distinct musicality amid sonic cohesion.

From the dark pop stylings of ANELIE on “Venus, Temptress,” to Deslynn Smith’s powerful exchange with  Dominic Johnson on “Why Wouldn't You Say So?” and Romy Deighton’s shining vocals on “I'd Forgive You In A Heartbeat, But I Can't Forgive Myself,” the genre-fluid album spans everything from indie rock, jangle pop and surf rock to chamber pop.

Focus track “Olive Branch,” stands out with its perfect balance of sonic ambition and a sense of playfulness, which stretches as a signature through the EP. Featuring an unreliable narrator who creates a bitter lyrical edge against the song's jangly surface, the track is a sonically complex with a touch of frantic energy as it showcases the band’s expansive and intricate craft.

Speaking of the project, the band says, "We didn't put any pressure on ourselves for it to tell a consistent story. If anything, there's a completely different character singing in each song. We had a lot of fun giving each song its own personality and letting it take whatever direction felt most natural."

Born from the creative partnership of Alex Broadgate and Dominic Johnson, Tora Luna has shaped up into a diverse collective where talented musicians drift in and out bringing their own distinct sonic stamp leaving us consistently intrigued with each new release.

With a collaborative ethos at the centre of their craft, Tora Luna’s latest offering is a bright, dreamy and rich tapestry woven together by an authentic, in-the-moment quality that feels spontaneous and carefully crafted all at once.
