GlassJack’s “Laissez-faire” challenges conformity with a fresh, fearless pop anthem

GLASSJACK and Cailo combine forces to storm and deliver a refreshing gust of self-liberation with “Laissez-faire.” The track is self-love, body positivity, and individuality, and the freedom to just exist without explanation.

From its very first note, “Laissez-faire” brims with life and charm. There’s an unspoken rebellion in its melodic DNA, one that refuses to yell, but instead just smiles back at conformity as it strides confidently in the other direction. Between GlassJack and Cailo, their chemistry finds a perfect fit, each artist hones in on their own impeccable sense of groove and style while driving home the song’s empowerment message, just be you.

The production is up to date, slick and radio-friendly, but without selling its soul. Once again GlassJack demonstrates he’s able to build a soundscape that is universal and at the same time very personal. Cailo’s vocal presence provides warmth and an edge, straddling the line between vulnerability and defiance.

What really lifts “Laissez-faire” is its uncontainable spirit. It’s a movement. The lyrics are a reflection for anybody who’s been made to feel like they have to reduce themselves to a shape that’s not theirs. Title wise nodding to a “hands-off” approach, the track subtly embodies that, Live, let live, shine on.
