Electric 5 shares a fully live, no-backing-track cover of Metallica’s "Enter Sandman"

Chicago-based all-female electric string quintet Electric 5 make a genre-bending debut as they shares  fully live, no-backing-track cover of Metallica’s "Enter Sandman."

Built upon layers of two cellos and three violins, the new take is bold and blistering as it rebuilds the iconic anthem with only electric string instruments.  Every note of the track is carefully crafted to capture a rich and powerful symphonic-metal soundscape rooted in the five-piece’s unique hard rock sonic signature.

The accompanying music video matches the track's power, putting the quintet front and center in a visual spectacle that’s more arena rock than chamber music.

Led by five fearless string players, Electric 5 make a strong impression and carve out a space for themselves with their full throttle performance.
