After a few months of resting, playing shows, Chicago's Kaicrewsade returns with a big new single and even bigger news.
The man who knows no rest, Kaicrewside is an jazz enthusiast turned rapper incorporating sonically enthralling production with an ever opposite energy for a sound settled in synchronized chaos. The fast paced, free jazz inspired influences bleed throughout Kai's previous songs and "#Beeper!!!!" is no different.
The track utilizes a dynamic drum instrumental with jarring horns, opposing a softer, melancholic piano chord in the background; a culmination of jazz soundscapes that Kai utterly slides on. Kai's flows and wordscheme work in tandem with the energy of the production and his low vibrato keeps the overall spirit in check, adding a layer of charm that oozes with every bar.
Kai's been working non-stop since his debut mixtape Yvette dropped last year. Since then, he's produced a number of loosies, garnered more attention beyond the Chicago jazz scene, and is prepping his Lollapalooza festival debut.
