Liverpool indie-rock trio The Memos return with "Born Again", a reflective yet driving single, that marks a pivotal moment in the band's evolving sound and storytelling. Led by a crisp blend of bold vocals, punchy basslines and melodic guitars, the track is sleek without stripping away the band’s live-wire energy, striking a balance between polished studio craft and their onstage presence.
Offering the first glimpse into their upcoming EP Futures Ours to Find, recorded with producer Ben Harper (The Zutons, The Sherlocks) at The Motor Museum, "Born Again" blends emotional grit with sharp indie-rock sensibilities as it reflects on the theme of reclaiming strength in the aftermath of loss.
Speaking of the track, the band says, “The song is about remembering the power you’ve always had, even when life makes you forget it.It’s that moment when you realise you’re stronger than you thought — when you take back control and start again. Even when you are at rock bottom, you can always dig something deep at your core to put yourself back on top and channel self-doubt into accomplishment.”
The Memos have previously co-written with Kyle Falconer and Justin Hawkins, and their songwriting here reflects that growing maturity—pairing commercial appeal with lyrical weight. Laden with plenty of raw conviction and steady assurance, " Born Again" echoes its core message of personal rebirth.
With their artistry gaining growing national attention, The Memos are setting themselves up as an alluring yet ground act whose emotive musicality draws us in with each note.
