Brooklyn-based, Miami-born singer-songwriter and producer Miranda del Sol has released her new single “so in looove”.
Setting the scene for her upcoming debut EP, “so in looove” is a dreamy, bilingual alt-pop tribute to falling helplessly head over heels for someone. It features Sol’s sweet, airy vocals woven with spoken word, hypnotic synths, and jangly, scratchy acoustic guitar.
Reminiscent of turn-of-the-century Latin-pop hits, Miranda del Sol sings: "I’m dizzy with desire / and I don’t know how I let you leave." This song captures the feeling of falling too hard and fast for someone, resulting in a gorgeous, swaying R&B-infused track that’s criminally short and begs to be played on loop.
The music video features Miranda del Sol on a wind-swept Long Island beach, seemingly unraveling and alone as she reflects on the obsessive love that has overtaken her.
According to Miranda del Sol herself: “I wanted it to feel like the inside of my mind when I realised they weren’t coming back. There’s beauty and devastation all at once.”
Miranda del Sol has the vibe of an alt-pop darling in the making, and this song deserves to have everyone “so in looove” with her sound.
