On a quest to battle the mortal toils of the Capitalist world that breaks us down with each day, one artist is breaking the mold to pursuit his dreams full time.
"Easy On Myself," a term most folks can't gather the courage to practice, but is something that New York artist Late Again is determined to be with this latest song.
The song is beyond a menial song detailing the bitter up-hill battle of getting up for a job you hate everyday, it's a meditation on pursuing one's dreams despite not having the full resources to do so. "Easy On Myself" is the artist mustering the courage to abandon not just a day job, but a way of life that's draining, demeaning, and a roadblock to creative freedom.
In its dream pop soundscapes, Late Again captures the very translucent and transcendent feeling of taking great risk. It's minorly uncomfortable and near dream-like, something perfectly encapsulated in its production and lyrical content, providing the message that sacrifice is important to accomplish personal goals.
The track is Late Again's first teaser of his upcoming EP, Clearly It’s All Staged, coming Sept 2nd. Fans can pre-save the project here.
