Denver-based dubstep and riddim trio Hostage Situation intensifies the buildup to their debut album Hostile Frequencies with the release of their second single "The Device." Following the success of lead single "Burn For You," this latest offering showcases another dimension of the trio's versatile approach to bass music, further cementing their evolution from local Denver heroes to nationally recognized headliners.

"The Device" demonstrates Hostage Situation's ability to push genre boundaries while maintaining their signature sound that has been "taking crowds hostage" across the country. The track builds upon the foundation established by "Burn For You," exploring the heavier, more aggressive elements that first captured attention in the bass music scene, while incorporating the innovative production techniques that have set them apart from their peers.

With their 'Hostile Frequencies' Tour now officially announced and tickets on sale, "The Device" arrives at the perfect moment to showcase what fans can expect from the trio's most extensive touring schedule to date. The comprehensive tour kicks off August 16th in Columbus, OH and spans coast-to-coast with stops in major markets including Minneapolis, Rochester, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Toronto, Des Moines, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Cleveland, with more dates to be announced. The track represents another piece of the puzzle in what promises to be their most ambitious project yet, scheduled for release on October 2nd.

Support acts include Big Blok, Brondo, Decadon, Fraxure, Joust, Mile32, Mongrel, Noetika, Twopercent, and ZL.

Since the announcement of Hostile Frequencies in June, Hostage Situation has continued to solidify their position as must-watch players in the bass music ecosystem. Their trajectory from formation in 2021 to headlining iconic venues like The Black Box, Meow Wolf Denver, and The Gothic Theatre, combined with festival appearances at Global Dance Festival, Supernatural Festival, Decadence NYE Colorado, and Forbidden Kingdom, has positioned them perfectly for this defining moment in their career.

"The Device" serves as a powerful reminder of why the trio has earned their reputation for creating immersive experiences that literally take crowds hostage during their high-energy performances. As they prepare for their most comprehensive tour yet, this second single provides another glimpse into the diverse sonic landscape that 'Hostile Frequencies' promises to deliver.

The album continues to represent the culmination of Hostage Situation's rapid ascent in the bass music scene, showcasing their versatile approach that seamlessly blends heavy-hitting dubstep and riddim with the emotionally driven elements that have become their trademark. With "The Device" now released and the 'Hostile Frequencies' Tour underway, the trio is poised to make their definitive statement as established artists ready to dominate the national circuit.
