Following their 2023 breakout year, Cat Ryan makes their return with single "Amsterdam"

Indie pop band Cat Ryan release their new mellow fun single, "Amsterdam." Hailing from Newcastle, the highly talented group includes Mary-Anne Murphy (vocalist), Jake Waller-Doyle (lead guitar), Charlie Radford (drums), and Dan Wright (bass/keys). Blending unique elements of upbeat English pop with the creative freedom of an indie DIY band, Cat Ryan finds their voice through the murkiness of everyday life.

On "Amsterdam," the band makes their musical return for the first time since their 2023 EP, King of the World. The band layered themes of time passing and a sense of urgency into the single. Plucky guitar and booming vibrant drums really hammer the summer vibes within the track. Amsterdam is the perfect tune to toss on a summer lake playlist. The vocals are soothing while still maintaining such a hearty sound.

With the return of Cat Ryan, the band shows their refinement in their skills and depth. It was only a few months ago the band was generating hype all across London. A new single brings hope to listeners that more is on the way.
