Hailing from San Diego, California, indie-pop singer-songwriter and producer Brent de la Cruz has just dropped his new single, “Day To Day.”

Cruz has a knack for world-building with every release, and “Day To Day” is no exception.

The vocals kick in around the 18-second mark, and the effect on Cruz’s voice makes it feel like he’s slowly coming into focus—less muddled, more present—as if breaking through a fog with each passing line.

“Day To Day” blends apathetic, reverb-drenched vocals with driving, distorted indie-rock guitars and a pulsing pop beat that grabs hold and never lets go.

Coming in at 3 minutes and 25 seconds, “Day To Day” packs a punch—drawing subtle comparisons to Dominic Fike while still staying true to Cruz’s distinctive sound.

The chorus is expansive, catchy, and undeniably head-nod-worthy, driven by a beat that lifts and carries the track effortlessly.

At 3:07, the energy slows, letting the song wind down with intention. Altogether, “Day To Day” is a seamless fusion of indie pop, indie rock, and alternative—showcasing Cruz’s talent for blending genres while delivering a powerful emotional journey.
