Joshua Tree based FireBug has returned with another riveting rock'n'roll masterpiece. Called "Time Marches On", the song is the first of the year release from the duo following Red, White and Blue shared in 2024. The song is shared alongside a hypnotic music video.
"Time Marches On" is a contemplation on persistent and constant pull of time. Years go by and humans can't stop the clock and with their new single FireBug reminds us all of how precious each moment is. Front woman Juliette Tworsey sings, "I'm in a trance / State of mind / No looking back / The train it rolls onward / On a one way track / Morning noon night," showing this theme. Musically, "Time Marches On" features psychedelic 60's inspired keys under textured electric guitar and Juliette's soul-baring and evocative vocals. The intoxicating musical offering is dreamy, atmospheric and aw-inspiring. The music video shows the duo performing in front of a variety of mesmerizing lights with intercuts of a flower arrangement blooming through time. The video parallels the narrative of the passage of time with the flowers ultimately dying just like all of us will eventually.
