Packaging, the newly formed duo of Daniel Lyon (Spirit Award) and Daniel "Connor" Birch (Flaural,) makes their debut known this year. For their first single, Packaging introduces the world to the wonderful sounds of modern disconnection with single, "Running Through the Airport." The new music is a departure from what both artists have done separately and promises to invoke raw emotion.
Similar to other offshoots of talented artists coming together, Packaging engages listeners on a level significantly below the surface production. The psychedelic rock track is front and center with the oddity and mystery of Packaging. Aside from the single, the duo is keeping everything close to the chest in to the lead up of their debut album, Packaging, later this year.
"Running Through the Airport" is a brilliant space track that envelopes listeners within the mindset of Birch and Lyon. The production and instrumentals throughout the dark atmospheric track paints like Van Gogh's Starry Night, in a hazy hue of bokeh lights and distorted waves.
The new single comes with an even more cinematic music video. The video runs in step with the track and offers more of a glimpse into the coming months for the creative duo. Packaging is coming out the gate swinging for the lead up to one of the most underrated projects of the year.
"Running Through the Airport" is available on all music platforms.
