Henry Grace shares layered offering “Say Something Mean,” leading us away from the distinct sparseness of his 2022 release “Alive In America,” swerving into a rich, band-driven sound.
The first track from a new album co-produced with Blaine Harrison from Mystery Jets, “Say Something Mean,” the track adds an edge to the Americana genre with refreshing sonics.
Speaking of the the track, Grace says “The whole thing was really built around the chorus ‘say something mean like it don’t mean a thing’ and it worked sitting at my kitchen table with just my voice and guitar, but it was not until I took it to the band and Brian started playing the opening riff that the song grew wings. I remember listening back to our set from Jazz Cafe and thinking it could be a single.”
Having grown a loyal following with each new release, Henry Grace continues to capture intensity and yearning with his evolving artistry.
