Gabe Parsons' latest single, Hurricane's Back, offers a vibrant glimpse into his upcoming debut album, "Long Road Traveler." The track bursts with a youthful energy, capturing the spirit of discovery and love against a backdrop of open roads and familiar places. Parsons draws inspiration from his experiences, crafting a narrative around two characters whose evolving relationship unfolds throughout the album. The song feels like a snapshot of a fleeting moment, filled with a joyful yet rebellious essence, echoing the excitement of starting anew.

Musically, "Hurricane's Back" blends folk-rock sensibilities with indie influences. The spirit of Bruce Springsteen resonates, while hints of Lord Huron's ethereal soundscapes add depth. Parsons' journey, from his time in the New Orleans music scene to his current burst of activity with numerous shows and a rising fanbase, informs the authenticity of his music. The song captures the electric charge of early adulthood, reflecting city nights and the thrill of pursuing dreams in unfamiliar territory. “I wanted it to feel joyful and just a little rebellious”, says Gabe Parsons, reflecting on the track’s origins.

It's a track that feels both intimate and expansive, grounded in personal experience yet reaching for something larger.
