Georgia-based artist Chris Casey unveils breezy remix of his "Cow Killers," featuring a new verse from Khary. With a nostalgic sonic core, framed by 90’s rock and grunge influences alongside a alternative rap flourish, the track is reflective and energetic all at once.
The remix sees Casey and Khary bond over their shared experiences growing up in Georgia and Rhode Island respectively seamlessly moving from introspections on financial stability and casual racism into simpler, mundane moments. Led by a sense of spontaneity but an equal amount of intricacy, the track resonates far and wide.
Speaking of the remix, Casey says, “Initially, the song came about in a very casual way. When I made the beat I knew it would be fun to rap on, but after writing the first line I knew I had something special. Khary reached out wanting to do the remix. I love what Khary is doing with his music sonically, and knew he’d be a great fit.”
Having carved out a space for himself with his blend of alternative rock and hip hop, Casey continues to draw us into his personal experiences with his tongue in cheek artistry.
