Amadeus360 and Devine Carama have shared a new single, titled "Respect Due", featuring Sadat X. Producer Amadeus360 first set out to cement his legacy among the torchbearers for raw, gritty boom-bap with his 2023 album The MPC Jedi. In contrast to the throng of cross-generational spitters featured across that album’s 18 tracks, Amadeus is locking in with Lexington, Kentucky’s best-kept-secret Devine Carama for an upcoming album Guardians of the Boom Bap, releasing June 13, and they have recently shared the project's latest single in the graceful, yet grimy "Respect Due", featuring the legendary Sadat X.
"Respect Due" finds Devine ruminating alongside Sadat X on ideas of aging gracefully, earning respect through longevity, and helping the next generation- backed by Amadeus' concoction of sleek keyboards, bouncy, infectious percussion, and rich bass. The two emcees demonstrate a natural chemistry, paired with sharp flows and insightful lyricism, while the thought-provoking feel of the production further enhances the track's pensive, hypnotic atmosphere.
Amadeus360 and Devine Carama's latest offering "Respect Due" is a potent ode to classic boom-bap sounds from their new project Guardians of the Boom Bap, due on June 13.
