On their latest remix EP, LA-based duo Peppermint Heaven hand the keys to a trusted trio of electronic producers- and the results are nothing short of exhilarating. Known for their 80s-inspired synth-pop sound, Juno & Spark once again prove their songwriting's adaptability, as their lush melodies and smooth vocals glide effortlessly across a spectrum of electronic subgenres.
The EP opens with 7th Heaven’s remix, a glistening extension of the original track that enhances the synth-pop charm with a more buoyant, dancefloor-ready elegance. His Club Mix version dives deeper still, building a spacious, euphoric energy that maintains the duo’s melodic core while subtly transforming the song's emotional landscape.
Next, Jose Spinnin Cortes delivers a driving, Chicago-house influenced take. The bass hits harder here, the groove more insistent- yet somehow, Peppermint Heaven’s signature sound remains intact. It’s a darker, underground twist that broadens the EP’s palette with finesse.
The standout comes from Mark Lower, whose nu-disco rework is pure sunshine. Breezy, infectious, and dripping with retro flair, it’s tailor-made for poolside sessions. “We’ve always loved how remixers interpret our music,” Peppermint Heaven shares. “It’s inspiring to hear these tracks take on a new life.”
With each producer bringing a distinct flavor, this EP is a celebration of collaboration and production craftsmanship. It’s a testament not just to Peppermint Heaven’s versatility, but to their growing influence within the underground dance music scene.
