Sophia Be captures the pain of unfinished love on “I Still Love You”

On her latest single, “I Still Love You,” Mexican-Canadian artist Sophia Be delivers an aching ballad that feels as intimate as a whispered confession.

Now based in Los Angeles, Be taps into a heartbreak that’s still fresh, turning personal loss into something both relatable and exquisitely composed.

Framed by delicate piano and violin flourishes, "I Still Love You" draws listeners into the stillness of an emotional aftermath – the kind of quiet where love lingers even after goodbye. It’s a bold move for a rising artist, and one that pays off in its vulnerability.

Be’s voice – rich, resonant, and emotive – floats effortlessly above the sparse production, giving weight to lines like “I’m so happy for you / It seems that life is treating you well” that drip with unspoken sorrow.

The song’s structure, simple and heartfelt, reflects its organic creation: written in a single sitting the day her ex left the country.

Her chorus lands like a soft punch: “Boy I think of you / And then I wonder / Why you left me standing / Cold and broken.” It’s a universal cry of love left unresolved, but Be makes it feel deeply personal.

“I Still Love You” solidifies Sophia Be as an artist with a keen sense for storytelling and a voice that cuts straight to the soul. It’s a song about heartbreak, yes, but more than that, it’s about the complex layers of love that linger after the ending.

With only a few releases under her belt and a debut live show on the horizon, Be proves she’s not just emerging – she’s arriving with quiet force.

For fans of romantic pop that puts emotion above spectacle, this is one to really sit with and feel deeply.
