Singer, producer, and saxophonist Asher Etlin—originally from San Francisco and now based in Los Angeles—has released his new single, “Eclipse.”
Blending bedroom pop, lo-fi, and neo-soul, the track delivers a chill, easygoing vibe—perfect for nights when you just want to zone out and let your thoughts drift.
The soulful acoustic-electric guitar grounds the track beautifully, pairing effortlessly with the laid-back live drum set that crashes into Etlin’s melodies with just the right energy.
Etlin’s subtle, warm, and fuzzy vocals complement the soothing atmosphere, while the saxophone solo at the 1:32 mark seals the deal, delivering a smooth, jazzy finish that elevates the track to where it needs to be.
On creating the track, Etlin says, "Eclipse" is a song I wrote about graduating from college and adjusting to life post-grad in a new city. It's about accepting life’s changing stages, about cherishing the good times you’ve had in one phase of your life while also pushing forward and looking ahead to the future."
The track winds down with gentle, humming harmonies, ending just as peacefully as it began—a quiet reminder that music doesn’t need to be loud or forceful to make an impact.
“Eclipse” is just the beginning of Asher Etlin’s musical journey, one that promises to deepen and evolve with time. This single alone makes it clear that his path will be an engaging one to follow.
