After spending the last few years building a repertoire of fierce, colorful bars along with his brand identity, the latest from Top Dawg Entertainment showcases another shining star from Long Beach, California.
The Good, The Bad, The Dollar Menu is the debut mixtape for Long Beach, California rapper, Ray Vaughn, his first full length project under the mafia of the west and stands on every point the rapper has made for himself since signing in 2021. Filled with braggadocious bars, impeccable chemistry with colleagues old and new, and songs that showcase Vaughn's range of emotion. It's jam packed with character, demonstrating a tight knit tongue capable of penning the guilt of being out of town during a loved ones passing right after flexing the ability to pull despite only affording dollar menu dates.
The mixtape for Vaughn comes with a like minded cast, bringing on TDE mentors Isaiah Rashad and Jay Rock while rocking with up and coming California based acts like LaRussel & Samara Cyn. EARMILK sat down with Vaughn to discuss the emotional topics presented on the project and the journey it took to debut it.
