Onelight and Nikkie Ariel shine bright on reflective new single “LET IT BE”

When a song is both bold and liberating, it becomes more than just something to dance to — it’s something to let go to, shed your worries, and trust that you’re on the right path.

“LET IT BE” is the latest single from French electronic, R&B, and hip-hop producer Onelight, featuring Brooklyn pop-soul artist Nikkie Ariel. The single is part of a larger forthcoming project from Onelight’s EP AUTOBODY, set to release later this year.

The two artists make a compelling pair, playing to their individual strengths in a banger of a record that seamlessly blends electronic soul with a spiritually aware lyrical concept.

Onelight crafts a vibrant soundscape with bright, bell-like synth keys reminiscent of a glockenspiel or processed celesta, paired with a tight, on-the-one beat that propels the track forward—creating the perfect foundation for Ariel’s vocals and introspective lyrics to shine.

Vocally, Nikkie Ariel’s range is on full display. She glides effortlessly between delicate phrasing and powerful belts, showcasing both control and emotional depth. Her performance feels both classic and fresh — rooted in soul but pushed forward by modern production.

When asked about the lyrics, Ariel shares, “‘LET IT BE’ is about the powerful metaphysical bond between two souls who despite years of separation, are destined to find each other again and realign in this lifetime.”

That sense of cosmic connection echoes in lines like: “Binded by a red string, one for all of time / Sacred destiny, formed by the divine.”

Both artists have impressive track records — Onelight has released three studio albums and worked with artists like Benny Sings, Rome Fortune, and Daz Rinko, while Nikkie Ariel dropped her debut EP 222 in 2019 and now releases music through her own label, Nikkie Ariel Enterprises.

Together, they’ve created a sound that’s not only sonically captivating but emotionally resonant — an anthem for anyone navigating uncertainty in love, life, or both.
